CASE FILE #033 – The Doorbell

Location: Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac

A resident contacted us after a series of unusual disturbances occurring over the course of several nights.

Shortly after midnight, his doorbell would ring. Each time he checked the front entrance, nobody was present. At first, he assumed local teenagers were responsible. As the incidents continued throughout the week, he became increasingly frustrated and installed a video doorbell camera in an attempt to identify whoever was approaching the residence.

The following night, the doorbell activated once again.

This image was recorded moments later.

The photograph appears to show a Type A Entity standing directly in front of the residence while extending one of its elongated forelimbs toward the doorbell.

The witness remained inside the home and did not answer the door.

The disturbances stopped immediately afterward.

The witness initially believed the image was the result of a malfunction or manipulation of the camera system. His son later recognized the entity from observations published in our archives and forwarded the recording to us.

For months, witnesses have described Type A Entities remaining near homes, watching through windows and maintaining prolonged visual contact with residents. We have documented them inside sheds, near playgrounds and, more recently, inside occupied residences.

We have also documented at least one incident suggesting a Type A Entity was capable of reproducing human speech. At the time, we considered mimicry the most likely explanation. The entity repeatedly produced a human greeting and, whether intentionally or not, succeeded in drawing a resident from his house into the backyard where it was waiting.

For nearly a week, another resident responded to a ringing doorbell without knowing what was standing outside his front door. We now know what was causing those disturbances. The photograph above shows a Type A Entity apparently activating the doorbell itself. The mechanism is different, but the outcome remains remarkably similar: something attracts a person’s attention, a response is triggered, and that person is encouraged to leave the safety of their home.

What continues to trouble me is not that these entities approach residences.

It is that they appear to understand exactly how to make residents approach them.

DOSSIER #033 – La Sonnette

Lieu : Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac
